About
the Minnesota Nonprofit Awards
Nonprofit
organizations make outstanding contributions to
Minnesota's high quality of life. The Minnesota
Nonprofit Awards honor these contributions.
The
Minnesota Nonprofit Awards are a joint project of
the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) and MAP
for Nonprofits. The awards include the Nonprofit
Mission Awards in the categories of Innovation,
Nonprofit Advocacy, Anti-racism Initiative and Responsive
Philanthropy and the Nonprofit Excellence Awards
for one large and one small nonprofit organization
that honors overall excellence in management.
Through
the Nonprofit Mission Awards, MCN has showcased
the work of nonprofits for 21 years. In 2003, MCN
teamed up with MAP for Nonprofits to additionally
present the Nonprofit Excellence Awards recognizing
two Minnesota nonprofits that best demonstrate MCN's
Principles and Practices for Nonprofit Excellence.
