Selection
Process
Mission
Awards
The Nonprofit Mission Awards
may be nominated by staff members, board members, volunteers,
program recipients, donors or other supporters. The online
nomination process closed Thursday, May 29, 2008. The Nonprofit
Mission Awards Selection Committee reviewed all complete
nominations in the categories of Innovation, Anti-racism
Initiative, Advocacy and Responsive Philanthropy and narrowed
the field of nominations to three finalists in each category.
All MCN member organizations
and their staff are invited to vote on the winners from
the field of finalists. Voters can vote once in each category
and must have their MCN ID number in order to cast their
votes. The recipients of the four awards will be decided
by member votes and the organizations receiving the most
votes will win. Finalist organizations and their staff are
not eligible to vote within their own category. The voting
period ends July 25, 2008.
Excellence
Awards
The Nonprofit Excellence Awards
applications should be submitted by the organization applying.
The application materials should be received by Thursday, Map
29, 2008. A Blue Ribbon Panel of experienced nonprofit leaders
will review the applications and supporting materials and
select award finalists in two categories based on the
organizations' sizes.
